Innovfest Unbound 2018 is Southeast Asia’s largest and most exciting innovation festival jointly organized by NUS Enterprise and Unbound in partnership with Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and supported by Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO). In the two day event held over 5 and 6 June at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, NUS Smart Systems Institute (SSI) exhibited 13 exciting projects to entrepreneurs, researchers, corporates, investors and start-ups from around the world.
SSI hosted a number of foreign and ASEAN dignitaries at our booths, including Singapore’s Minister for Communications and Information, Mr S. Iswaran, who was treated with Virtual NUS demo. Our SSI director, Prof Ooi, shared how the medical industry is reinvented through advancements in AI and blockchain technologies. The solution is a health data protocol built on the principles of patient centricity, privacy, and equitable data sharing. The other projects which garnered significant interest from the visiting delegates are Talking Drone, Mapvisuals, DietLens, etc. Overall, the event has connected SSI and our ground-breaking work closer with the communities and businesses.
